This can be accomplished with relative ease if the pond keeper is knowledgeable and experienced in the routines of regular pond maintenance. Every pond is different and every customer has different needs, expectations and budgets. Therefore, Splendor Koi and Pond will customize a maintenance package based on your needs. We start by arranging an initial pond visit/evaluation in which we come to your location and assess your unique situation.

This visit allows us to get to know each other to see if our services are a good fit for your particular needs and budget. First, we will estimate the volume of the pond since most water treatments require exact measurements. You don't want to under-dose, making the treatment less or ineffective, in the same way that you want to avoid any overdosing and killing your precious fish.

We do the necessary water testing to measure the pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, kh hardness, and salt levels. All tests will be analized and explained to ensure you understand the importance of each. We will do visual inspections of the pond, its surroundings, pumps, uv clarifiers, air pumps, paying close attention to the filtration system. Any problems, potential problems, or hazards will be brought to your attention and discussed.

Splendor Koi and Pond will do a visual inspection of the fish to look for signs of stress, movement or lack of movement that would indicate poor water conditions or possible parasites. Then, we'll examine skin conditions, including redness or sores that might indicate bacterial infections. We will discuss any concerns we may have with the health of the fish. We will also answer any of your questions are concerns you may have about your pond that you may not understand or have had trouble with in the past.

Then, based on our evaluation, we will recommend to you our ways to improve and maximize the performance of your pond. Whether you desire one-time, seasonal, or regular pond maintenance, we can customize a plan that works for your schedule and budget. Finally, we will give you a written estimate of our products, services and a maintenance plan that will assist you in keeping harmony within your eco system.
